Greetings, wanderers! As mentioned in the previous #fox-thoughts, the 15.0 update set the groundwork for a lot of features and improvements we will be introducing with this update. Check the patch notes below to learn more!
Dyes
- The Pigment Color and Mordant Base required to dye clothing, walls, floors, and decor has decreased in most instances
- Some cheaper dyes might be slightly more expensive, but mostly they’re cheaper now
- The amount Pigment Color and Mordant Base required to dye clothing, walls, floors, and decor has decreased in most instances
- Decor and Clothing Dye Unlocks will become available with the Chromatist in the Village or by leveling up your Friendship with Villagers
- The amount of Beacon Sparks required to buy Dye Unlocks in the shop has been decreased.
- Decor & Clothing Dye Consumable Items have been removed
- Don’t worry – if you bought some before the update, you can still use them if you have them, or purify them into Mordant Base
- We will remove Glider Dyeing from the Clothing Dye Station to bring it back in a better way in the future. Joule will also be selling a variety of Glider Dyes with different colors
- Wallpaper and Flooring Unlocks are now available. They can be unlocked by leveling up your Home Prestige.

Shops
- Villagers are opening up their own shops now! For now, the Tailor, Marj and Nibbit have set up shops in the Village Center, and Amano and Hardtack have set up their shops in the Wilderness – with more to come in the future!
- Shop offers are semi-unique to each shop – so remember to check them often.
- Do you have some extra resources laying around? Some Villagers may buy them from you in exchange for Coins!
- Previously, a restock timer mistakenly showed in the Premium Clothing Shop before this shop was ready to start cycling through rotations. We thank you for your patience and apologize for the dashed hopes on restock day!
- Now, the Premium Clothing Shop will cycle through items every 5 days. This is a temporary adjustment that aims to showcase variety while we work on the full functionality of the shop.
- In the future, our intention is to have a full set available in the shop at once, rotating every couple weeks, so you can still have time to save some Sparks and purchase them all if you want to. We want to set a pace where we can prioritise creating new beautiful and authentic sets regularly, without having to rush our artists and the team.
- Get to know the Crosslanders better and who knows – maybe they’ll pull out the special offers – including more coin trades – just for you! (You’ll be able to unlock new shops and shop offerings by leveling up your friendship level with them 👀)

Friendship with Crosslanders
- We have added plenty of new Friendship levels with Crosslanders – now the cap is lvl 15!
- We have also added new rewards to Friendship tracks like Patterns, Songs, Dye Unlocks, and.. Shop upgrades!
- Retroactive rewards should be granted to players – via mail?
- Gifting: There are a ton of new Gifts in the game!
- Give gifts to Crosslanders to increase your friendship with them
- You can find Gifts at several shops – check out Marj’s, Nibbit’s, Rudi’s, and Dusty’s – or by completing Tier 3 Passing Spirit Quests, offer resources to Spirits, and from occasional looting in the Wilderness.
- Villagers now have Liked, Disliked, and Favorite Gifts. Giving a Liked or Favorite gift will give bonus friendship. Even a Disliked gift will still give positive friendship.
- Higher rarity gifts also give more Friendship.
- There are 3 “Gift” actions per day, which can be used across all NPCs. Unused Gift Actions accumulate over time up to a maximum of 15. This means you can give all 15 gifts to Marj if you want, or you can give 1 gift to everyone.

Resources
- Speaking of extra resources – we have increased the resource caps for some Crafting Resources to 2000.
- Resources tiers have now been renamed for more clarity – now resources can be Standard > Good > Excellent
- This update also includes a general resource gain rebalance
- You will get more of what you had too little, such as Wood, Ore, and Clay, and get less of what you had far too much, like Mordant Base, Ink, and Paper.
- Harvesting Tier 2 resource nodes now guarantees a Tier 2 Resource.
- Harvesting Tier 3 resource nodes now guarantees a Tier 3 Resource.
- Players will now get Tier 2 Wool when shearing Fluffalos with higher level Shears.
- Mordant Base changes:
- Mushrooms now purify into Mordant Base. Flowers will no longer grant Mordant Base.
- Purified Mushrooms will be removed from player’s inventories, and you will receive coin compensation in the Mail
- You can now find Chives in Brambles and Roots, and occasionally get them when harvesting Wood and Flowers.

Collections
- Collection Sets: Collectibles are now organized into Sets of 4-6 items.
- Complete a Set to get Beacon Sparks!
- A found Collectible will now get automatically registered to Candlewic – you no longer have to worry about accidentally purifying a Collectible.
- You can collect a smaller reward for each Collectible by talking to Candlewic.
- Epic, Legendary, and Mythic Collectibles are now significantly easier to find in the Wilderness!
Crafting and Building
- We have reduced the cost to craft some Building Pieces (such as walls, floors, etc)
- Decor crafting costs have been massively adjusted to be more balanced. Some resources were over-used and some were under-used – this has also been rebalanced. In most cases, this represents a significant reduction in cost.
- Home Build Mode
- We added a button to send everything to storage
- We also turned off climbing stamina on Build Mode!
- You can now buy fully decorated rooms from Mr. Kit’s Catalog! Talk to Roomie to find the brand new Room Modules for a living room, bathroom and kitchen, with more to come in the future!
- Crafting Recipe Bundles
- You can now buy Crafting Recipe Bundles from Roomie’s shop!
- By purchasing recipes, you unlock the associated crafting recipes in your crafting table
- You can also check which bundles you need to unlock certain recipes in your crafting table
Home Prestige
- We implemented a few changes so rewards would be granted retroactively to players who completed Mr. Kit’s Challenges prior to 15.0 – making it easier for seasoned players with full home storages to level up and free up their spaces
- This update also brings some updates and rebalancing to the Home Prestige progression track and improved UI around decor placement when item count is reached
- Many more House Prestige levels have been added: the highest obtainable level is now 19, with a cap of 950 decor items and 50 potted plants.
- We will be adding more levels with more rewards, higher decor items and potted plants caps, and new ways to get Home Prestige XP in the future. And, of course, we will continue to monitor ongoing issues, as well as follow your feedback and observations around Home Prestige rewards and item counts closely!
WaystationS
- You can now buy 3 additional Waystation Overgrowth Charms for resources in the Waystation vending machine – they cost 5 of a random Tier 3 resource.
- We’re fine-tuning our tracking of inactive players so that waystations are marked for merging if most players are inactive and the amount of contributions is not enough to maintain the beacon. Please check our latest developer blog for more context!
- We have increased the beacon energy drain substantially so it correlates better with the current player activity.
- We’ve added an additional buffer that lets folks join a different Waystation without running into a population cap.
- To change waystations, you just need to visit it and talk to Eudora.
ART, UI
- Some Village Vendors – like the Chromatist, the Furnisher, the Decorologist, the Tailor and the Mail Carrier – got a complete makeover 💅
- Added new Signs for the Shops in the Village and revamped the Shops UI
- Exciting news 🎉 We have a brand new cinematic intro for the game
- We updated the Tuber harvestable nodes, animation for collecting Tubers, and Tubers are also now slightly smaller
- Clay icons were also updated!
- Main Menu screen got a little refresh
Quality of Life Improvements
- Auto-Climb is no longer enabled by default for new players.
- Note: If you want to disable Auto-Climb, please head to Settings > Controls > Auto-Climb and click it to set it to “Disabled”
- We have doubled the height boost you get from bouncing in the clouds!
- There’s a new multi-loot reward screen for when you get lots of items at once.
- The loot notification on the right shows your progress when you gain relationship XP, tool XP, or a collection in a set.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where Foliage was counting against both the Nature category and the Decor category in players’ homes
- Fixed the issue that caused players to be unable to claim Home Prestige XP if their inventories were full;
- Fixed an issue where the Premium Decor Shop was not rotating stock as intended
15.1 Known Issues List
Please keep in mind that the game is still in Beta, so many icons, quest objectives, animations, and other art may be temporary or placeholder.
- The purification screen still will stop you from “Purifying All” if there’s a collection item in there, even though it’s already been turned into Candlewic – this will be fixed in 15.2;
- Move attached items to storage action does not work in the Waystation;
- In the event that a player’s inventory overflows due to an item migration, the items are sent to the player via their mailbox – these messages refer to “quest rewards” but many of them are not in fact quest rewards.
