    I think this might be happening to everyone else but I started up the game today and I lost all of my book data and I’m sad :( I had a lot going on

    I’m very sorry about that. Two possibilities of what happened are #1 and #3 on this page: https://spryfox.zendesk.com/entries/52527460-Known-very-bad-bugs-please-DON-T-try-these- . These should now be fixed on Steam and we are working on submitting a patch to Sony so it can be fixed on PS4 (unfortunately that is a lengthy process). Unfortunately, there is no way we know of to recover data lost in this manner.

    If you are playing on Steam, a third possibility (which can be recovered from!) is that the game may be using a different save folder today than it was previously. (This could happen if you, for example, originally launched the game while not signed in to Steam, and today were signed in to Steam when launching the game.) Please view this FAQ and follow the instructions down to Step 7: https://spryfox.zendesk.com/entries/47169530-Finding-your-Road-Not-Taken-Save-File-Steam-version-only- . If there is more than one folder listed in Step 7 (each folder corresponds to a Steam ID you have played the game with, or “0” if you were not signed in), please check the Last Modified Date for the RoadNotTakenData.dat file inside each. Hopefully one will correspond to the previous time you played, and the other will correspond to today. If this is the case then you can recover your previous save data by copying the older RoadNotTakenData.dat and RoadNotTakenData_backup.dat into the folder corresponding to the the Steam ID you are currently using.
